Images from the final performance of “Couturemonials” by Ladyk Fever and Mary A. Valverde. This collaboration explores and illuminates the idea of the domestic violence survivor.
The event took place on October 7th, 2012 as part of the Art in Odd Places festival and I was lucky enough to have met these amazing women. Not only are they artists, but they are moms and we have much in common.
I look forward to collaborating with them and exploring how much further we can take this.

Yesterday I had the amazing opportunity of documenting the dress rehearsal for “Couturemonials” a piece by Lady K Fever and Mary Valverde. Below you’ll find more information about the event. The actual full piece will happen in October as part of Art in Odd Places 2012.

NEW PERFORMANCE ART
My reaction to the closing of “Transparent Studio.” I am looking through the pieces that were apart of the performance by Amy Larimer and Jamie Graham.
Had the pleasure of documenting and experiencing the “Transparent Studio” in DUMBO last night. Here are some highlights of the night.

In this project, I assisted artist Dannielle Tegeder for the 2010 Art in Odd Places exhibition “Chance.” This festival focused on the urban history of 14th Street, New York City and the experiences we encounter on the streets. The process involved hailing a cab, interviewing the drivers about their experiences and asking directions to random locations as if driving from Union Square. The project resulted in small books that were distributed in the back of random taxi cabs for people to find and read.
